is a breathtaking millipede species known for its deep black body accented with striking purple iridescence along the segment edges and legs. This subtle yet vibrant coloration gives it a unique and elegant appearance among tropical millipedes.
These millipedes are medium to large-sized, calm, and fossorial, making them ideal for keepers looking to observe natural burrowing and decomposer behavior in a well-structured setup.
Environment: Tropical forest setup with deep substrate, bark, and decaying leaves
Humidity: High; maintain a moist substrate with occasional misting for surface humidity
Diet: Decaying plant matter, soft vegetables, rotting wood, and calcium sources
Behavior: Mostly nocturnal, slow-moving, enjoys digging and hiding
Temperature: 22–26 °C
