is the heaviest cockroach species in the world, native to dry forests of northern Queensland, Australia. It grows up to 80 mm and is known for its impressive size, calm behavior, and burrowing lifestyle.
These roaches are large, long lived, and easy to keep with the right substrate depth. Best suited for dedicated keepers with space for deep enclosures.

Humidity: Keep substrate slightly moist, not wet. Avoid waterlogging and ensure airflow.
Diet: Dried eucalyptus or hardwood leaves as staple. Supplement weekly with vegetables, fruit, protein sources like kibble, and calcium.
Behavior: Burrowing and nocturnal. Calm and slow moving. Adults remain underground most of the time.
