is a large, visually impressive cockroach species native to Southeast Asia, admired for its metallic green sheen and beetle-like appearance. Its calm behavior and striking coloration make it a popular display species among exotic roach enthusiasts.
These roaches are good climbing, slow-moving, and easy to care for, making them suitable for both beginner and advanced keepers focused on ornamental invertebrates.
Environment: Tropical enclosure with deep substrate, bark, leaf litter, and ample hiding places
Humidity: Moderate to high; keep substrate moist but not wet, with regular misting
Diet: Leaf litter, fruits, vegetables, protein (e.g. fish flakes, dog kibble), and a calcium source
Behavior: Calm and reclusive, burrows during the day, active at night; does well in small groups
Temperature: 22–26 °C
