Ardentiella sp. ‘Milky Edge’
is a breathtaking isopod species known for its creamy white lateral edges and subtle dark body tones. The soft contrast gives this species a refined and elegant appearance, setting it apart from other brightly colored Ardentiella species.
These isopods are large, active, and curious, making them ideal for experienced keepers looking to add something vibrant and unusual to their collection. They are not recommended for beginners, but once their needs are understood, they thrive and reproduce readily in captivity.
Environment: Tropical setup with ample moss and leaf litter
Humidity: Moderately high; keep substrate moist with dry patches for airflow
Diet: Decaying plant matter, rotting wood, fish flakes, and a calcium source
Behavior: Energetic, highly exploratory, visually active
Temperature: 22–26 °C
