is a visually distinctive Cubaris species known for its segmented body pattern and compact shape. It is a tropical isopod that performs well in stable, high-humidity enclosures and is gaining popularity among advanced keepers.
These isopods are small, slow-reproducing, and sensitive to environmental fluctuations, recommended for experienced hobbyists with well-established tropical setups.
Environment: Tropical enclosure with moist substrate, moss, bark, and calcium-rich stones
Humidity: High (85–90%); maintain consistent moisture with minimal ventilation loss
Diet: Decaying leaves, soft vegetables, protein-rich foods (e.g. shrimp pellets), and a calcium source
Behavior: Reclusive, often hidden in crevices or burrowed into the substrate
Temperature: 22–25 °C
