Laureola sp. “Ivory Spiky”
is a small, visually distinct isopod species notable for its pale ivory coloration and sharply textured exoskeleton. The spiky projections along the body give it a unique, armored appearance, making it a visually interesting addition for hobbyists who enjoy more exotic genera.
These isopods are small, moderately reclusive, and humidity-dependent, suitable for intermediate keepers familiar with tropical microclimates.
Environment: Tropical setup with fine leaf litter, bark, moss, and tight hiding spaces
Humidity: High; maintain consistently moist substrate with limited ventilation loss
Diet: Decaying leaf matter, soft vegetables, protein sources (e.g. fish flakes), and calcium
Behavior: Secretive, prefers to stay hidden, thrives in stable and undisturbed environments
