Porcellio nicklesi “Orange Blaze”
is a selectively bred morph of a Spanish woodlouse, known for its fiery orange coloration with black and white speckles. Adults grow to about 20 mm (30 mm including uropods). This species prefers drier setups and higher airflow, making them ideal for experienced keepers comfortable managing microclimate conditions
These isopods are medium-sized, observable in surface activity at night or early morning, and breed steadily once a suitable environment is established
Environment:
Container with good ventilation and substrate depth of ~5 cm using potting mix, leaf litter, rotting wood, and a moss corner for moisture

Low to moderate (~45–55 %); maintain a small moist area while keeping most of the substrate dry
Diet:
Decaying leaves and wood. Supplement with vegetables, fruits, fish flakes or dried shrimp twice weekly. Provide calcium sources like cuttlebone or oyster shell
