Plastic box, mesh cage or glass terrarium with good ventilation
Substrate can be coconut fiber, soil or paper towel (mainly for moisture control)
Provide branches and leafy plants for climbing and hiding
Bright conditions stimulate feeding
Light misting every one to two days with chlorine free water
Breeding guidelines
Keep both sexes in groups, they are communal breeders
Provide 5 to 8 cm of sandy or soil substrate for oviposition
Females deposit egg pods in moist soil
Maintain airflow to reduce risk of mold
Nymphs can be raised in groups, cannibalism is rare

Eggs are laid in clusters underground
If removed, place them in a plastic container with a soil and sand mix kept slightly moist
Incubation takes about 4 to 6 weeks depending on temperature
Avoid excess moisture to prevent mold
Provide tender fresh leaves as soon as nymphs hatch
